[DOUBT]Is CM12.1 a real possibility?

Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying a OP2, and yesterday I recieved my invite, but I don't want Oxygen OS because I usually do hard modding stuff, so I would need at least CM12.1 and starting from there maybe a ROM like RR or AOKP.

But the CM development is still in process. So my question is, it's real thing for sure in time (I don't care how much time)? Or it may be the possibility that CM never comes??

Thanks.

CM12.1 Latest Nightly brightness and heating problem. Please help

Hi guys, I was using CM 12.1 lollipop 5.1.1 nightly on my LG G3 on October. It was working fine then, everything was flawless. Until, yesterday I decided to try out the newest update. It started to dim the brightness by itself whenever the phone heats up. I had this problem when I was using stock rom but solved it by entering the hidden menu and disabling any heat limiting and performance limiting features (3845#*852# method). But when I tried this method again, it says USSD code and nothing happens. Also I tried kernel editing app from the appstore and disabling any core limiting feature and thermal features did not help at all

Please help me this is irritating me so much especially when I play mobile games or browse web for couple of minutes

Can't Install CM12.1, stuck at "Google" screen

I'm working with a 32GB WiFi version of the Nexus 9. I've successfully unlocked the device. I believe I've flashed the device with CM 12.1 dated 20151030. When I reboot, the device is stuck at the "Google" screen.

I installed TWRP 2.8.7.1 and copied over the zip files for CM and CGapps, installed again and got the same result.

I've put CM on many devices in the past (Nexus 1, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3) and I've never had this much trouble. What else can I try?

I'm new CM12.1 Nightly ROM to CM Remix SM-N910T Note 4

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and also new to android. I've been a iPhone user since the iPhone 3G & decided to get myself a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910T (T-Mobile). I am currently running CM12.1 nightly ROM using TWRP recovery. I was looking around and found the CM Remix ROM & I'm itching to get my hands on it. I'm a noob when it come to android and to custom ROMs, but managed to get my phone rooted and flashed a custom ROM without turning my phone into a paperweight. So I'm trying to get a little direction and some know how to get CM Remix ROM with lollipop or maybe the new marshmallow. I really like CM12.1 nightly but I'm wanting all the extra tweaks and performance. So is it possible to flash the CM Remix ROM if I'm using CM12.1 NIGHTLY ROM currently? If so what files would I need. My build is CM-trltetmo 5.1.1 kernel version 3.10.40-gef59855 build CyanogenMod #1. I also just flashed the current version of CM12.1 nightly today (Oct. 27 2015). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

[Q] Is latest CM12.1 Snapshot stable enough?

Hello everyone,

I've always liked CM and the different features it offers, so I was planning to flash latest Snapshot since I would like to use it as my daily driver. What's your experience with it? Any major bugs? Is it stable enough? Or should I consider something else, such as Xposed + some modules (such as GravityBox)? I'm currently running latest stock build 5.1 (LPE23.32-14.2).

Thanks for your help.

[For your information] you won't receive calls on gsm with Cm12.1 nightlies

I've already notified the CM and the DEVs, there is no time line to getting this issue fixed. So if you currently use Cm12.1 nightlies on you Sprint S5, you will NOT receive calls while your roaming on GSM networks. Calls will only come in while connected to CDMA networks. The user will just experience and eternal ring then voicemail. Your phone won't even acknowledge that it received the call.

Increase Headphone Volume on Mi4 CM12.1

Hey guys,

I am using my Mi4 for about 2 1/2 months now and was very unhappy with the low headphone volume of the Mi4 even while running CM12.1 (I almost sold it)

I tried several methods I found here, but most of them did increase volume and overdrive massively at the same time.
Today I more or less found out, that it is only necessary to change one value in the mixer_paths.xml to increase volume and keep overdrive minimised.
Root and a rootexplorer is required! (I did it with CM12.1 so I can't give info about other rootexplorers and permissions)

I recommend doing a backup of your mixer_paths.xml!

Go to /system/etc and open mixer_paths.xml and open it with Editor. (I highly recommend the stock one!)
Scroll down to <path name="headphones">
Increase the value of "TI PA Gain" and save it (if you aren't already, you will be asked to change to root permissions for that)
I'm at 53, which is quite really loud already, so I'm gonna stay there. :fingers-crossed:

Reboot and enjoy.

I am not responsible for any damage to your ears or your phone because you blew up your headphones or your headphonejack. Stay safe guys ;)
