Hello, I wanted to ask, why this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...i9515-t3245133 Changed my wifi card MAC adress? Can it be virus? I tried to change it back to my original mac from original ToutchWiz Android version 5.0.1, but with trying to change it in "/efs/wifi" the files .mac.cob and .mac.info it doesnt work at all, whats intersting the were set to my original mac adress. In options menu in Details its completly other. Any solutions?

Which Custom Rom should I download?

Hi, So I am looking for a custom ROM for my Note 2. Long story short the ROM I have is completely broken.

I am looking for android 4.4.4 KitKat, I dont want any malware or junk, and I want no weird comparability issues. I have no idea where to start for finding a ROM(I can install it on my own, And my phone is Unlocked and rooted).

Help: Xperia L C2105 dead after flashing an Xperia M Stock rom

Hey guys,
I have an Xperia L C2105 device and it was stuck on the Xperia logo , so i used flashtool to install a stock rom on it ...
until now every thing is right and it finished flashing ... BUT when it finished i realized that i was flashing xperia M stock ROM on it not Xperia L stock ROM , i tried to boot it and it doesn't boot
- no boot.
- no flash mode so i can't re-flash the right ROM
- no fastboot
- no charge sign
- no sign of life except when i pulled out the battery and trying to make it enter to flash mode when i put its cable the light blinks blue for a second and then nothing happend
and the computer tell me it needs an QHSUSB_dload driver
i tried to find that driver for my device and when i found it, the computer said that this driver isn't for this platform

A300FU OTG support

I already known stock rom on A300FU does not support OTG, the hardware seems capable of doing it (other phones with the same processor like Xiaomi Redmi 2 has support).
The question is, anybody has been able to get OTG?
It may be possible installing a module or you have to replace the kernel to get it?

I have seen in other thread that work to get CM 12.1 is in progress, but I don't have sufficient score to ask them if OTG is working.

Screen resolution messed up -help needed!

Hi, playing around with an app called "Resolution Changer Pro", I set my phone to 350x350 in order to try a few things how my smartwatch would behave, which has also android and 400x400.
That went OK, and I was able to get back to fullHD fine.

Then I also changed the DPI accidentally to 100 and then the phone crashed.
Rebooting results in a black screen and I can´t do anything....
With adb I tried to set the resolution back to something usable, and the reply was that the window manger is not running.
Then I tried to get hold of the build.prop with adb and checked the DPI setting there, which was 480 .. the defailt setting.

Now my android knowledge is at the edge, and I don´t have an Idea how to reset the settings back to normal.
What could I do without deleting everything and re-flashing?

Help! TWRP "cant mount .*" boot loop

Hi all.
After OTA upgrade to android 6 of unlocked unrooted nexus 7 2013 WiFi i decided to unlock and install twrp.
I used adb and fastboot to flash version 2.8.7.
It went smooth but after reboot to recovery, twrp shell returns "can't mount *" for all partitions. And the device is bootlooping into this state (unless I boot into bootloader).

The worst part is that my pc wont recognise the tablet when connected. Adb devices returns an empty list. So i cant even flash stock recovery or do anything uing adb/fastboot.

How to: BYPASS REACTIVATION LOCK ON THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S5!

So have you done a factory reset and gotten a reactivation lock login screen, prompting you to log in to your previously used Samsung Account?

Well follow these steps!

Okay, let's start.

Step 1: Find your stock firmware at sammobile.com. This will require you to sign up for a sammobile account. Find THE ANDROID 5.0 FIRMWARE and download it. Unless you have a premium account, download speeds will be slow. Please be patient, as these files are very big.

The AT&T file is a higher speed download, thanks to galaxys5root.com. The only available firmware for it is 4.4.2.

Step 2: Download Odin. You can use whichever version that is v3 or above. Other versions may not support your device. To download it, go to odindownload.com

Step 3: Extract Odin and run the odin.exe file as an administrator.

Step 4: Plug in your phone to your computer and boot your phone into download mode. (power off, then press volume down, home button, then power button at the same time.)

Step 5: BE SURE TO EXTRACT YOUR DOWNLOADED STOCK ROM FILE FROM SAMMOBILE! After that, go into Odina nd click PDA (or PA depending on version) and choose your extracted file.

Now, click start with your phone in download mode and plugged into your computer.

Almost done! Now boot up your phone after ODIN says reset or success, and on the first screen there should be accessibility settings. Click on that, and go into vision. Go down to text to speech options. Select Google Text to speech options, making sure it is checked. Click the settings icon next to it. Go into Install Voice Data, and click the three dots at the top, and click open source licenses. Press and hold on the website link, the first one, that starts with http://
Now click the search icon in the top right corner, and MAKE SURE YOU USE THE "INTERNET" BROWSER. Now hit the three dots and go into settings. Go into manage accounts, and click Samsung Account. Log into it with an existing Samsung Account, or make a new one. Once done, and signed in, you can go ALL the way back to the first screen. Now follow the setup steps and when you get to the Samsung Login screen again, log in with the Samsung account that you logged in with in the browser.

Any issues?

-Try redownloading the SAMSUNG USB MOBILE DRIVERS for the Galaxy S5. Do so by looking it up on google. (FOR ODIN PROBLEM) Then retry.
-Accessibility Doesn't show up? Try flashing Android 4.4.4 (risky, use as last resort)

I recently switched to a new ROM (CM11.2) on my S4 mini, but i'm not completely happy with the lock screen..
For the music player widget on the lock-screen, I would like to have a status bar to be able to scrub / search in the song you are playing, like it used to have in the samsung stock Rom, and on this picture. .
Is there any app / tweak or whatsoever to install, so that i can get that function (back) ?

Second Screen App icons

Having some trouble changing the icons in the second screen. I pulled the png files from an icon pack and am able to change it just fine on the LG home screen launcher, but when I drag them up to the second screen they turn into a white box. The weird thing is that the simple "g" icon I picked for Google retains the icon but when I do the other ones I picked they turn into that white box. Also the LG launcher doesn't like that icon pack either.

Loose buttons?

Anyone else finding their A9 hardware buttons are a tad loose and wobbly? My power button in particular feels annoyingly wobbly.

It's weird given the otherwise high build quality. I'm wondering if it needs to go back to the shop.

Prevent Initial Sync when adding Google Account

So back in October, my wife and I both purchased the Note 5. We started using Google Photos, and I found a way to add both of our google accounts to each others phones so we could share our photos instantly. I had a problem adding her account to my phone, as it would sync everything (contacts, calendar, health data, etc.) immediately, but this did not happen when adding my account to her phone. I messed around with it for some time, and found an option that was not the same on both of our phones. (I think it was the backup account, but can't remember for sure). Whenever I disabled the option, whatever it is, on my phone, it allowed me to add her account without initially syncing. Keep in mind, my method for doing this on both phone was as follows every time I tried it.
1. Turn off Global Auto Sync
2. Add alternate account
3. Turn Off Mobile Data and WiFi so the phone was not online
4. Turn Auto Sync back on
5. Settings>Accounts>Google>(other account) and turn off Auto Sync on everything except Photos (Gmail in the case below)
6. Turn On Mobile Data and WiFi
Kerblam! Success.

However, I am trying to accomplish the same thing with another google account I have an alternate use for, but only want the gmail to sync. But no matter what I try, every time I add the account, it initially syncs everything. (I know this because next to every category, it says "Last Synced on MM/DD/YYY hh:mm) And obviously, all of my other account contacts, calendar data, etc. appear. I don't want to take the chance of just manually deleting everything after turning off the sync for each item in case the sync gets turned back on after some update or somethings, and it syncs the account with the phone and I lose everything. Has anyone had success doing this? I've been scouring the web for quite some time now with no luck. Neither Google or Samsung were of any help. Thanks in advance for any help : )

Just recently returned my Verizon LG G4 to stock via the .kdz method. I plan on getting a replacement or selling it. After the process was done the phone was fine except under Settings/About Phone/Software Into/Software Status, it still says modified. Is this normal?

tethering ap for rooted S4

Hi All,

I'm interested in wifi tethering for my cellphone, but the information provided for the various tethering aps on google playstore website is somewhat incomplete.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone with a Verizon unlimited talk, text and data plan. I pay an extra charge each month to allow very limited wifi tethering, but it limits my tethering usage to 4 GB per month. MY PHONE IS ROOTED!!

I notice ALL wifi tethering aps require me to enable wifi tethering in my cellphone's settings menu. This is unsuitable because Verizon knows I am using the phone for tethering. I looked in the free and the paid aps listings.

I'm looking for an ap that does not use the phone to set enable wifi tethering from the phones setting menu. In other words, I do NOT want Verizon to know I am using their phone to do tethering for my other wifi devices.

Any suggestions are appreciated, perhaps I'm not searching for relevant keywords??

I won't be able to be held responsible if your device breaks, bla bla, thermonuclear war, bla bla. You guys know the drill!

I myself have a Oneplus One and really wanted that shiny new Bootanimation from Stock 6.0. I got myself the bootanimation.zip from a friendly user over at reddit. Me, being a lazy piece of ****, of course didn't want to manually put in /system/media/ after every flash so i just created a flashable zip. It will work with every single Android ROM except for TouchWiz.



INSTALLATION
What u need:

2. TWRP. Pretty clear what this is for.

1. Boot into recovery
2. Install the .zip
3. Reboot
4. Look at the Bootanimation
5. Reboot again to look at it once more

HTC Camera App - Love it

Hey guys,

So the stock camera app on this phone is nice and all, but is kinda slow when launching and switching between picture and video modes.

So I installed HTC camera app, and I love it! ... you can start taking video right away (no need to switch modes) ... 4K supported... camera is super fast / responsive...



I have one issue though - if I click on Gallery icon inside camera, nothing happens ... it also does not show image preview... and pictures / videos made with HTC cam app are not visible in Gallery App ...

so if you know the solution to this, please share.

PS - your pics / videos are saved to /DCIM/100MEDIA folder, so they do get saved ...

Nexus 7 (2013) stuck in google logo after downgrading to stock rom 4.4.4 razor

My Nexus 7 (2013) flo comes with Lollipop 5.0.2. I was trying to downgrade to 4.4.4. I followed the online instruction from google. Basically what I was doing was

1. unlock bootloader
2. flash bootloader and stock image from google, razor 4.4.4 using flashing_all.sh
3. I also tried to flash the bootloader and image manually using fastboot command

Everything worked fine, no error message. However, after flashing, the system stuck at the google logo screen. I tried to enter the recovery mode, and it gives several error messages, such as "unable to mount /cache" etc.

Then I tried to flash back the stock image razor 5.0.2 lollipop using the same method. This time, everything worked. I can boot into the system without trouble.

Is there anyone having any idea what happened? Thank you a lot!

Can't find a way to root Zte Solar

Hello everyone. I bought this phone for my niece because her htc phone broke. I've always rooted via Odin with my Samsung phones but can't find any dedicated root method for the zte solar. It only has 4gb internal memory so I want to root it so I can set up folder mount for her so she'll have more room for apps. I've tried king root and towel root without success. Does anyone here have an idea on what else I can try to root it or so i can use the sd card for app storage? It's running on 4.1.2 if that helps. I've gotten spoiled with my 64gb s6. Thank you.

LG D800 providers.settings issues!

Hi there! I have a Stock kitkat d800, made root with stumproot but without custom recovery, it's running stock right now.
First of all let me tell that I have in my computer nandroid backup of it (TWRP & CWM) made with OnlineNandroid and one LGBackup made with system restore menu.

Here's the trouble:
I am about to sell my phone so i was backing up some stuff yesterday when i realized it was not syncing contacts with google, after researching a bit I deleted the "com.android.providers.settings" folder which it was situated into "data\data" and rebooted device.

Then, sync problems gone but some another problems came up, couldn't get into some settings just as language, swipe down settings didn't work neither, home button didn't work at all, etc; when tried to use that things, phone just did nothing or stayed one second and got back to home screen. Read something that factory reset would definitely solve my issue, well it did solved it at a glance, home button was functional again but, things like language submenus were still not working.

So then, I try to install an LG Backup using the system app, could restore settings and appeared to be solved, but after another factory reset, remember I'm about to sell it, the whole issues came up again.

As I have nandroid backup I've recently checked the clockworkmod folder and find the deleted folder.

Considering that i could manage to get that LGBackup installed again, could it be possible to paste "com.android.providers.settings" back into "\data\data" folder then?
Should that be the definitely fix? Or I'll have to reflash all nandroid even though I don't wanna take that risk because is just those problems, apparently related to that specific deleted folder, the other things of the phone are intact and work great.

In case of need reflashing, could you tell me about any easy tutorial on how to do it, including custom recovery installation for my stumprooted device?
I don't actually know how to ADB any android device, if you could also help me with the right tutorial and drivers for this phone so i have everything ready just in case of needing CMD to fix this device it would be great.

Hope I get some answers soon so i can quickly fix the device, any ideas are welcomed and will be utterly appreciated.

GS3 suddenly has a full, blank white screen during usage

Hey guys, so for a while my mom's GS3 shows random blank, white screens during usage.

I tried looking online but I couldn't find any leads. I found no particular pattern as to when it occurs. She has to press the home button, or the back button several times for it to go away. But reappears soon after.

External Bluetooth

Hey. Is it possible to install an external bluetooth dongle to usb ports? The internal is defective and i want to use a2dp. I have deactivated the internal now in factory settings but if i connect a linux compatible bluetooth stick, nothing happens. I am new to android and i don´t know how to look for hardware devices in terminal and activate them. I saw a tread where wlan0 internal was replaced by wlan1 external, so maybe there is a option to do it with bluetooth.

Hey, where can i get JY Launcher, as separate app? I currently have KLD and i wont reinstall firmware to change the Launcher.

Anyone with a Kyocera DuraForce: I'm looking for a complete backup of system apps. I made the mistake of deleting some important apps and lost my backups. Right now my corporate mail and VPN are broken. Before everyone jumps on me, I've learned my lesson - NEVER delete system apps... I should have just frozen them instead of deleting them.

Bell Mobility based phone with all the Bell apps would be perfect, but the critical apps that I need the most should be installed on all DuraForce phones.

Root is not required to extract the system apps. [APK Extractor] is available in Google Play and is capable of extracting the apps without root/SU access. I would post a link but it won't let me until I have posted 10 times :/

To show only system apps:

[MENU] - [SETTINGS] - toggle [SHOW ALL APPLICATIONS] to [OFF]
[back to main screen]
[MENU] - [SHOW SYSTEM APPS]

Kindly extract each system app and archive them (zip, rar, any archive type is good) to make upload / download easier.
Default save path for the apks is: /storage/emulated/0/ExtractedApks/ and can be changed via [SETTINGS].

Rooted S6: CPU apps won't let me underclock my phone?

Carrier: T-Mobile
Baseband: G920TUVU3DOI1 (latest update)

I used the S6_UniKernel_v8-0002-ODIN.tar file to root it, using Odin. Root was successful.

In SetCPU if I set the clock to Max: 400, Min: 400......it automatically switches to Max: 1500, Min: 400. The max speed that I set switches to the CPUs max speed.

In 3C CPU Manager (which lets you set both CPUs): If I throttle the max speeds, the max speeds automatically jump.

So I can't underclock. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and put myself in a relative amount of danger, so wanted to underclock the phone to give me extra battery life and ensure I have access to GPS and calling. I can overclock just fine, but it's not letting me throttle the max CPU speed. Is there anything I can do to fix that?

Music starts playing again about a minute after unplugging headphones or bluetooth

When I unplug my headphones or disconnect bluetooth, my phone will pause the music for a little bit and then start playing again randomly. Haven't tried it with the built in music app, but it happens with Spotify for sure. I'm comparing this to my old HTC One m7. When unplugging headphones or disconnecting bluetooth with that phone, it would stop the music indefinitely until I hit play again.

Maybe I'm accidentally hitting some kind of button combo that's playing the music after stuffing the phone into my pocket? Seems odd that they would have it just pause for about a minute and then start again.

Wiko Ridge fab can't boot in download mode

hello, my ridge fab works perfectly, but if I try to reset with the official app from the wiko site, when I press vol+, vol- and power it boots normally, without go in download mode, the same with adb and terminal emulator. Does anyone know how to restore the download mode? It's rooted, the bootloader is Unlocked, and I installed TWRP.

Block OTA updates for good. [Requires ROOT]

To block all OTA updates all you need to do is edit the build.prop.
I have 1820 users on my ROM so I can confirm this works not only on my device.
You need to edit: "ro.build.product="
From: "ro.build.product=surnia_cdma"
To: "ro.build.product=surnia_XXX (XXX=whatever text you like, or lack of text will also do the trick)
This basically changes the device google play services checks since whatever you call it wont be in the db that google checks against you are good to go.
After the change all you need to do is wipe dalvik and cache in TWRP or CWM.
FOTA.apk does not work anymore.. :D

tmobile stock m7 keeps restarting. Which RUU can i use?

I have a stock m7 that has never been rooted. It keeps restarting and if i load to the bootloader it pops up errors that look like the OTA update may have failed. I'm trying to update with a RUU file, but don't know if it matters which one i use. I know that i have to use the amercian tmobile, but can i just get the newest one or do i have to match versions to what was on my phone?

Well, anyways, I'm a Game of War player, and found that the IAP through Amazon are cheaper and have the tendency to screw up letting you get free packs, lol. Only problem though, is I don't get game notifications from that version. Wondering if this was something to do with it coming from the Amazon store, a bad version of the game...or something else that I am missing.

Enabled all notifications in Amazon, checked app info for the game, notifications are enabled there. All in game preferences for notifications are turned on...not sure what I'm missing. Figured if there was anybody out there that would know a way, they would be here, lol

Accidentally deleted boot animation

I tried to change my boot/shutdown animations but didn't like them. I had backed up the original first, or so I thought. I was able to restore the boot animations but no longer have the shutdown.qmg file found in /system/media so I just see a blue circle. Not the end of the world, but still...

Can someone please post the original bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg and shutdown.qmg files so people like me can restore them? Thanks!

Please Help !. HTC One Mini stuck in BOOTLOADER Menu

My HTC One mini swtiched off a couple of days ago and since then only load to bootloader menu no matter what I click or do. It goes also automatically to this screen as soon as I plug it with the charger even if did not press the on/off key.
I tried to unlock the bootloader according to the instructions on HTCDev.com site. Everythings work till the last step, as no menu appear on my phone asking me if I want to unlock the bootloader or not.
I also tried to use RUU to install a new Firmware. The phone showes a black screen for a couple of seconds and then restart again to bootloader screen. I got an error afterwards.

The phone was running on a stock firmware, no root, no custom recovery, or any other thing.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem. It seems my phone has no OS or something like that.

GPS Issues with X Play

Hey People,

I got my X Play around 20th October and been using since. The GPS was amazing first few days but for the past 10-12 days, it has been iffy at best and completely non-functional at worst.

Sees satellites but does not lock. When it does lock, SNRs are pretty low and accuracy is in the range of 40-50m while driving sometimes, and 7m other times. Ditto with standing at the same spot. Most of the time it would just not lock; and the Google location service would show me 50Km away from where I really am.

Anyone else experiencing these issues? I'm kinda drawn right now in pin pointing a software or hardware issue... My 30 day return is wrapping up tomorrow so there's no real time for factory reset and test extensively. :-/

Vibrate Only Turns Off Automatically

Has anyone experienced their phone automatically coming out of vibrate only and notification sounds start up again? I didn't have this issue when I was on 5.1.1 but I recently updated my phone to the latest factory image (MRA58R). My bootloader is unlocked, stock recovery, and unrooted. Thanks.

Changing SD card in Marshmallow?

So, Marshmallow for Pure should be right around the corner, and it's nice to be able to use SD card as internal memory. My question is, when I need to upgrade the SD card (say, from a 32GB to 128GB in the future), what is the process? The thing is I have a 32GB card lying around, and I don't need a storage at the moment, so I plan to just start using that for now. But then later, may need to upgrade it to a larger/faster card.

Don't be fooled by 'Charging Rapidly' -my experience w/ 3rd party USB A->C & chargers

The 5X is my first USB type C device and first device with Charge / Rapid charge capability. I knew 1 charger wasn't going to cut it so prior to my 5X arriving I retooled my home, office, and car with new chargers and cables. I set out to retool my home, office, and car with new chargers and adapter cables. For the chargers I looked for anything that was certified by Qualcomm as Quick Charge 2.0 compliant. Most chargers come with a USB type A to micro USB adapter by default so I knew I needed adapter cables as well. I figured any USB 3.0 or 3.1 compatible Type A to Type C cable would be fine if it was made well and didn't break the bank. Benson Leung has enlightened us that all USB Type A to C adapters aren't made the same and my experience supports his. Below I've included the combinations of chargers and cables I've tried with my 5X and my observations.

I'm not an EE and don't have access to fancy measurement devices that Benson may have access to so my account is a very unscientific one. The biggest takeaway I have to share is that seeing 'Charging Rapidly' on your lock screen is not the best indicator of a fast charge rate nor does 'Charging' indicate a slow charge rate. It's pretty clear to me the conditions in which 'Charging Rapidly' shows up have little to do with charge rate at all. I'd love to know in detail what the firmware is seeing (or not seeing) when 'Charging' vs 'Charging Rapidly' shows up. If anyone knows please chime in.

How to change default wallpaper

hey guys, been lurking for a long time, but i need some help on this one. on my phone i am playing around with the rom, open framework_res.zip in 7zip (don't extract, just open it) and replace the only default_wallpaper.jpg with the one i want, and then flash that file to my phone in recovery, wipe data, and reboot. but it's still the old default wallpaper. i read one thread that said to edit strings.xml, but i can't find that.

any help?

App to Disable Keep Awake Per-App for Marshmallow?

I just went from a OnePlus One (CM12.1 nightlies) to a Nexus 6P (stock, rooted).

One of the features from CM was "keep awake" within the Privacy Guard, which I used with many apps to save a lot of battery life.

Is there any comparable method of disabling keep awake on Marshmallow as of yet?

Charging Port Issues After OTA 6.0

Hi it's been awhile since I've been on this site, but I have been having tons of charging problems after updating my unrooted Nexus 7 to 6.0 with the OTA update. I charged to 100%and proceeded to OTA update and it finished with no problems. But my 2nd or 3rd charge it would only change to 13%(i kelp it changing for over 12hrs), and the charging port became email, extremely sensitive(I would have position the USB cord in just the right position or it would not charge) the the next day it got it to charge to 25%, and now I can fully charge to 100%, but I never had any problems with the charging port on Kitkat whatsoever? Do you guys think it's software? If is is what should I do and if it is the charging port, has anyone changed one of them out by themselves? And is it easy? Thanks

Doze Now Available for Devices on Lollipop

Found this article on Phone Arena Doze. Someone has mimic'd the code of Doze from Marshmallow and made it available in a stand alone app in the Play Store. It creates a VPN when your screen is off, and limits background processes' access to data and whatnot, thus limiting wakelocks(at least that is what's advertised) It seems to be working well for me thus far, but I will update with results after I get a full day's use of Doze to see if it has saved me idle battery drain. It may help you too!

Cannot connect the camera!

Hello! I'm fresh in here, welcome everyone ;)
I've a weird problem with my Galaxy S4. :/ The thing is that the camera doesn't work. What is strange about the issue is that when I turn my mobile off and on and turn on camera or snapchat ... the camera works! I can take a pic or record or whatever. Nevertheless when I attempt to switch the camera from the rear to the front, the screen turns blank and after a few seconds what I can read is 'Warning! Cannot connect the camera!' and it turns off. The same when I turn the app off and on again. It works only when launched the first time after turning on the phone. This facr indicates in my point of view that the problem is software - not hardware!

I bought my Galaxy S4 in the UK, it was from Three (H3G). I am from Poland anyway, if it makes any difference :D

Motorola Sim Trays Available?

Does anyone know where I can get an actual Motorola SIM tray for the N6? :confused: I've ordered two from Ebay now, both fit poorly (they don't sit flush). As you can see in the attachment, the metal portion of the SIM tray is quite a bit thicker on the silver tray (the knockoff) vs the blue tray (the original Moto tray).

Questions about the HTC Desire 620

Does any one have any luck with rooting the HTC Desire 620?

This is what I allready tried.

- Tried to Root with KingoRoot no luck. Contacted them if there is a way to root the phone in the future. (Wating for an anwser.)
- Tried the APK version of KingoRoot no luck either.
- Tried Kingroot for PC, no luck.
- Tried the Kingroot APK, now here is the strange thing, it succeeds in rooting the device. But shortly afterwards it reboots and the root access is gone.

Do any experts know if there ever is going to be a way of rooting the phone? I have gotten used to the advantages of a rooted phone and I miss it now.

The other question I have is why are there no custom roms for this device? But I think its because of the reason that its not possible to root?

If someone finds somthing, thank you all for the help!

How to correct Htc d820u_tb08 firmware problem

I just purchased this Htc d820u phone from a friend because it has some software problem which thought I would be able to fix . The phone -to my surprise- has a mediatek mt6582 processor, but shows Htc D820u when I check the version. Also, from the current information of the phone:

(without quotes), it has a desire 816 bootloader which I think is the cause of it not functioning properly in bootloader when ever I use it.
More so, whenever I try to use the fastboot, the only way I could do that is by using "adb reboot-bootloader" from pc while it is on. Plus that no other command except "fastboot reboot" works, it always give a "FAILED (Too many connections (Too many links))" error when I try it.
