GS3 suddenly has a full, blank white screen during usage

Hey guys, so for a while my mom's GS3 shows random blank, white screens during usage.

I tried looking online but I couldn't find any leads. I found no particular pattern as to when it occurs. She has to press the home button, or the back button several times for it to go away. But reappears soon after.
