Bluetooth car pairing won't remember Phone Book sharing approval

I'm having an admittedly minor issue when pairing my phone to my '14 Accord. The pairing works perfectly and automatically. However, at least once a day ( not necessarily every time I get in the car, though ) after the phone pairs, I get a request on the Nexus to allow phonebook sharing, followed by another to allow SMS message sharing. I have to select yes for each or I keep getting requests throughout the time I'm in the car. There does not appear to be an option to always remember my decision.

I never had this issue on my previous phone ( LG G2 ). Once I said yes to sharing the first time, it never asked me again. Is there something I'm doing wrong or a step I'm missing? Or is this expected behavior in Marshmallow?
