Ok so my brother in law handed me his buddy's LG phone today saying that its acting weird and freezing a lot. I figured I would look at it and see if I could fix the problem and I have run into something that I have legitimately never seen on a phone before.
So I start the phone first and after swiping to unlock the phone ( there was no pass ) I find that instead of the phone loading the default launcher it loads a webpage that cannot be found ( either because the page does not exist or because its not connected to any network.)
Pressing the home button does nothing. I can access the notification center but at best I can maybe toggle a few things and achieve nothing. Hitting the settings key produces nothing.
So I figure.... well this is weird and try it again. Same thing.
After a few tries I figure. hey **** it lets wipe the phone in the recovery menu. So I pull the battery and then hold the power and volume down key to start the phone into recovery..... except the phone doesnt go into recovery and it just boots normally again and gives me the weird webpage thing again.
Has anyone every run into anything like this?
