I have this problem from the day i got this phone from a friend of mine. The moment when i plug it in to the pc it says ''Device has malfunctioned and it can't be recognized'' it remains as an unknown device. I tried the following:
- Different pc's (4) the same result
- Different cables on different pc's
- Factory wipe/reset
- Odin download mode for custom os
Still nothing. I think at some point it was rooted because i cant update firmware from phone because the status is custom but i cant download any apps that require root acces because i dont have anything on it to grant acces , like superuser or so. It's stuck in 4.4.2 and i cant update it. I want to mention that my phone does not have an SD Card mounted.
