If you return the 6P, do you get to keep the $50 Google Play credit?

Seems like an easy way to scam Google. Order the 6P, get the Google play credit, spend it, then return the 6P. Not that I plan to do this. I'm just curious, do they have any countermeasures to prevent people from doing this?
