I have a rooted Verizon Galaxy S3 that has a SIM card from a tablet in it. This works just fine from a data perspective but 2 things that would be very useful to me don't work like they do on the tablet.
1.) The Verizon Message+ app doesn't allow me to put in the number of my cell phone so I can get text messages for that number. It tries to use the number of the data only SIM card.
2.) Google Voice does not work properly, it gets stuck in the setup process when it asks me to choose my phone number but doesn't display give me one to select or let me enter my own.
These issues do not present themselves on the tablet so my thought was to remove the phone apps or maybe install ROM from a tablet on the phone. I'm not sure what exactly each app is looking to determine whether or not to allow me to enter a phone number. Any thoughts or ideas?
