help - force stopped Broadcast listener service in the Google app now no microphone

tried to fix that Google now isn't always listening for OK Google, so went ahead and force stopped one of the services the Google app was running, called broadcast listener service. ever since then, and 3 factory resets later, my tablets microphone doesn't work, not even with 3rd party apps.
any idea how to reverse whatever stupid **** i did? or could it be i killed something else as well.?what process is responsible for the microphone.?
