EMMC Bricked phone - any updates to solution?

I am completely aware interest on this topic has dissipated, but I would really find it valuable if anyone could answer this for me.

I EMMC bricked my Galaxy Note 1 a few years back - I used the PIT method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1667886) but this leave phone unstable.

Is there any fix at all that will make the phone run with NO risk of crashing?
