Begining from miui v6 till nowadays on miui v7 there is a problem that device stops interact with touches, only sensor buttons works. The problem doesn`t connect with any factors.
To solve this problem you should lock the device, than unlock and after that operation you can use the device until the problem will appear again.
This is a problem for miui v6 android 4.4.4. The solution of it is to change kernel. You can change it to more older miui v6 4.9.2 kernel and the screen will works well, but this solution is not capable to miui v6 and v7 on 5.0.2
This is an often problem and doesn`t have any other solutions.
